My Big One-Year-Old

OK. I know its been a while since his big day but we have had a lot on our plates. So...Keegan turned one on the 13th. So exciting. We had a great time too. It turned out to be a bigger gathering than we had planned. I think huge parties for a baby is kinda funny but as I started to address invites, i couldn't stop thinking of family and friends who would love to be there for him. I am so grateful to have my family so close. It is way comforting to know that if anything happened to me or Jamon, our kids would have plenty of people willing to take care of them.

Here is the big boy and his daddy.

Uncle Josh gave him this present. Keegan loves keyboards so Josh cleaned up and made this one and a mouse safe for him to play with. It was the first thing Keegan played with the next morning.

He loved the cake. Actually he loved the frosting. He was gagging on it and everything but he just kept shoving it in. Gross!!

Holy Crap!!! I Hate being Sick!

This has been the suckiest 5 days of my life. So on Friday, I felt a little sick. I thought i was tired. Then I woke up Saturday with a sore throat and felt gross after Juicy's baby shower (which was way fun). I decided to buck up and go prom dress shopping with Courtney. She is going to look so dang hot! I left the mall early and by that night my fever was up to 103 something. I have been sick since with nausea, and coughing, and grossness all around. I called to make a doctor's appointment but my doctor had gotten in a car accident. Aren't I lucky. So then I had to go to this new doctor that they referred who had a really grumpy phone lady. Anyways... I have some bacterial infection and pink eye. Joy! If that's not bad enough Keegan started running a fever too in the middle of all this and he has pink eye as well, an ear infection, and a nasty cold. In the words of Minnie Driver in Return to Me... "What was God thinking???" All I can say is that I have a great Mommy and family and husband who are so good to me. Thanks everyone for helping me out. I love you all!

Kristen, I always love to sit down and think about you! Remembering when we were dating and falling in love so quickly. I wouldn't have changed a single thing about it! And now that we have a little family and seeing you with keegan makes me fall in love with you so much more. You are such a great teacher to him and he loves to play with you so much! Your constant support and love is appreciated so much! I just smile when I think about the future with us because it is going to be so great! We are a pretty sweet couple and I love you so much! I sometimes remind you of the first time I saw you in church and how you totally caught all of my attention and thought. And now that times are alot more stressful and busy, I want you to know that you still consume my thoughts. I notice you when you think I don't and look forward to our future together. You see when you have someone that you love so much and care about, you can't help but think ahead about the future with them. I haven't been able to do that yet without my eyes getting all watery. Maybe thats because I'm a Smith but I'm sure it has more to do with it. My mom would of loved your style and skills so much! And I am sure she would be grateful for taking care of her little boy and grandson. Happy Valentines Day babe! I love you so much and in the words of Michael Scott.... you complete me! Ill see you tonight!!:) X00OOxxxXXXX

Keegan turns 1 on Friday!!!

Can you believe it?? He is getting so big... and heavy.
What a cute kid though!
This is the first time he has been on a real swing. He totally loved it. He kept looking at the little girl next to him and laughing. It was like he was saying, "Isn't this so fun!"

We Love Winter!

Winter is one of our favorite seasons because we can finally afford to work on our yard. In the summer it takes a lot of water to keep it up so when it gets cold we plant grass and "baby" our flowers. Jamon does such a great job with the lawn and Keegan loves helping me with the flowers. We have had a couple of neighbors stop by and say how much they like what we have done with it. I have to give a shout out to Jamon's cousins, Jen and Damon, for gardening tips and a great paint job. Thanks!

This is a part of the flower "garden." I am very amateur.
This owl was supposed to be for scaring birds but it failed us so we put it with the flowers.
Keegan thinks its scary. Everytime we come outside,
it's the first thing he looks for.
These are my flowers. There are some Marigolds, Stock, and I forget what the white ones are called. See... amatuer.
